Aquacise • Low-Impact, Cardio

Increases cardio respiratory and full body aerobic strength and conditioning through mostly low-impact dance moves combined with stretching and toning moves in an aquatic environment. All fitness levels.

Fitball • Non-Impact, Non-Cardio

Excellent strengthening and stretching utilizing fit balls, your body resistance, and free weights. This class is designed to improve core strength, balance, and coordination. All fitness levels.

Gentle Stretch & Tone • Non-Impact, Non-Cardio

This class is a gentle, effective workout to stretch and tone the muscles moderately. Forty-five minutes in length, it is great for seniors, suitable for those who have injuries, or perfect for those who just want a relaxed workout. All fitness levels.

Hike • Low-Impact, Cardio

Intensity and location is based on all participants and their goals.  Hikes include wonderful views of surrounding areas!  Expect to be off property one to two hours. Please contact us by 5:00 pm the day prior to reserve your place. For those requesting a moderate to challenging hike, we request at least a 24 hour notice to reserve.

Yoga • Non-Impact, Non-Cardio

Hatha and Kripalu Yoga incorporate slow movement and stationary postures held long enough to strengthen and increase total body tone and flexibility. Focus is also placed on improved breathing, stress reduction, and relaxation. All fitness levels.

*All classes are appropriate for most fitness levels, beginners are welcome but it is important to work at your own pace.

Fitness Services

Private Hiking Program • $130 / $260

Are you looking to get outside, breathe deep, and take in the beauty of the High Country? If so, Westglow offers skilled, friendly hiking guides to lead you on a private hike of your choice. Hikes range from an easy to strenuous pace and guests may choose from thirteen area trails. All private hikes begin at 1 pm. Snacks and water are provided.

Available hiking trails include:

Easy - Price Lake Trail, Trout Lake & Rich Mountain Trails, Linville Falls
Moderate - Green Knob Trail, Flat Top Mountain Lookout Tower, Glen Burney Falls, Nuwati Trail to Storyteller Rock, Boone Fork Trail, Linville Falls & Gorge Trail
Strenuous Elk Knob Mountain Summit, Cragway Trail and Boone Fork Bowl, Calloway Peak via the Profile Trail, Calloway Peak via the Boone Scout Trail

Class Schedule

Fitness classes are included with all resort packages and are available on weekdays. With the exception of  Hiking, all fitness classes are held at the Life Enrichment Center. Classes are appropriate for most fitness levels. Beginners are welcome, but it is important to work at your own pace. The following classes are available:
