• Will a cycle class help my stamina?

          Yes, but thats not the only benefit of riding. A cycle class will build your strength and muscles in not only your legs, but throughout your entire body. If you cycle steadily you will burn about 300 calories per hour. Along with those burned calories, you also will improve your cardio-vascular fitness by 3-7%. The British Medical Association found that cycling 20 miles every week decreases a persons risk of Coronary Heart Disease by 50%. Plus, cycling rids the body of cortisol, known as the stress hormone.

• Considerations

          While most people can cycle without any problems, you should always check with your doctor before starting any new workout regimen. Cycling is also considered to be a “Base Training Activity.” BTAs are activities that provide endurance and aerobic training simultaneously and should be complimented by all other workouts.
